Fall Birds at Mill Bend Preserve
- When:
- Friday, November 10
- 8:30 AM
Pre-registration is required. This event is limited to 15 participants.
You are invited to join us for a birdwalk with RCLC Board Member Rich Trissel. Rich has been an avid birder since he first picked up binoculars in high school. He intimately knows Mill Bend Preserve’s best birding spots.
We will start by walking along the Gualala River access road and beach where we are likely to spot both resident and migratory species including raptors, wading birds, ducks and more. Next, we will head to upper Mill Bend Preserve and explore the meadows and forest trails. More than 60 bird species were seen on a recent walk here!
Sturdy shoes are suggested as trails may be rough and muddy. All ages welcome but no dogs please.
If you are interested in birds please make sure to “opt-in” to our “avian enthusiast” email list by clicking here – not all of our bird walks are published in the RCLC newsletter. We are on a mission to reduce inbox clutter by limiting our email sends to only the people who want to receive them!
